Abbey Road is famous for housing the Abbey Road Studios, where the Beatles and 

many other famous bands recorded. It is also famous for the Zebra Crossing across 

which the Beatles walked to pose for the cover photo for the 'Abbey Road' album. 

Curiously, that photo became famous for Paul McCartney's bare feet which fed a 

rumour in the 1960s that Paul McCartney had actually died and the figure in the photo 

is a double. Walk RM's own Abbey Road below and visit many of London's Rock 

attractions nearby.

The Attractions of Abbey Road & Surrounds

Rock Mountain's own Abbey Road has many surrounding attractions. You can visit the

Abbey Studios and check out where so many great bands have played. You can then 

also go to The Apple Studios and see where the Beatles had their own recording base. 

Enter into the Apple Experience here. Also wander down the road and enter Carnaby 

Street - the 1960s fashion centre of London. Visit also the King's Head Tavern for a 

taste of London's pub life, then take a step back into time and visit The Over There 

Club in War time England and listen to the Crooners and Big Bands of the 1940s while 

experiencing the Blitz. Then jump back into the future and visit the hangouts of the 

different youth creeds and gangs - visit the Mods, Rockers and Skinheads. Then visit 

the Marquee Club, the venue where the Rolling Stones and so many other top English 

Bands played their stuff. Finally - take a trip out of town and visit the Cavern Club - the 

legendary Liverpool home club of the early Beatles.
