Ahh Love, Love, Love! It's said that Love makes the world go round,
and this is certainly true for most forms of modern Popular music - and
very much so for Rock. It has been claimed that love and sex are the
basic drivers of all human activity at some level, and Love has
certainly been the major substance of most Western music since the
very beginning. And in Rock, Love has indeed been its major theme

And the Beatles claimed it was all you needed!
But we could go on for ever about Love in Pop music - love between
two and more people, love between men and women and gay and
lesbian love. Pop music is absolutely overwhelmingly about human
love. But in modern Pop and even Rock many other forms of love are
